Industrial Security Trends

End users that are expected to increase their demand for security products and services are government facilities, airports, educational institutions, and banking operations.

The demand for Access Control, Surveillance, and Garage/Parking Lot Protection has increased as developers seek to lure tenants and businesses to reconstructed commercial properties.

Workplace violence, once limited to the convenience store, liquor store, or gas station, has spilled into the main stream. Workplace homicides are among the leading cause of work related deaths among women and the third ranked cause for men.

Overall crime rates have declined over the decade, but the perceived need for a secure workplace is on the increase. Lower crime rates tend only to focus corporate attention on other issues such as computer security, white collar crime, and employee theft where loss potential is enormous.
