Sentinel
Corporate History
In
1990 Sentinel Security & Communications purchased Newport Security Systems.
Once merged into the company, the acquisition of Newport Security Systems
expanded Sentinel into the Northern Region of New York State.
The implementation of an aggressive acquisition strategy by Sentinel
resulted in the company's 1999 acquisition of the Commercial/Industrial
Division of Doyle Security Services in Rochester and Buffalo. Along
with this acquisition Sentinel opened offices in the Rochester and Buffalo
markets and began servicing customers throughout Western, New York.
In February of 2000 Sentinel continued their aggressive acquisition
strategy with the purchase of Safe Security Inc. of Buffalo, New York.
Along with new retail and wholesale accounts in the Buffalo market,
providing a substantial amount of Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR) to
the company, this acquisition included an independent Central Station
that Sentinel would now own and operate.
Sentinel has now become an industry leader in New York State specializing
in all aspects of security solutions including Electronic Intrusion
Detection, Fire Alarm, Closed Circuit Television, Access Control, and
Business Telephone/Intercom Systems.
Sentinel currently plans to continue its aggressive strategy for acquisition
by targeting companies with strong RMR bases that will broaden the company's
scope of influence throughout New York State and the Northeast Region
of the country.
