Sentinel competes with a number of dealers and manufacturers on a local,
regional, and national level. In the Security Industry the major focus
of competition is to attain as much recurring revenue as possible.
However, as the industry continues to change, larger companies which
traditionally focused on solely providing Burglar and Fire Alarm Systems
are now becoming systems integrators. This has applied additional pressure
on smaller security firms that do not possess the infrastructure, resources,
or branch (dealer) network to become integrators.
With a history of systems integration, Sentinel has a competitive advantage
over larger firms because of their current infrastructure of experienced,
highly trained, skilled employees capable of networking multiple stand-alone
critical systems into a single functional "management system".
As a regional firm, Sentinel is able to provide quality local service
on a consistent basis throughout each of their locations.
